Tavares sits on Lake Dora about 7.5 road miles from our Eustis shop — a sixteen-minute drive that keeps every Tavares address inside our $59 flat-delivery zone. As the county seat and self-titled America’s Seaplane City, Tavares gives us a steady mix of work: lakefront weddings, community events at Wooton Park, and backyard parties from downtown out to Royal Harbor and Lake Frances Estates.
Wooton Park and the waterfront
Wooton Park is the city’s signature venue — Lake Dora waterfront, seaplanes landing behind your event. It’s a City of Tavares facility, so events there need a city permit: reserve your date with the city first, send us the approved window, and our crew sets up inside it. We provide a certificate of insurance on request, which venue coordinators sometimes ask for. One practical note from experience on this shoreline: the breeze off Lake Dora is steady in the afternoon, so waterfront tents get deeper stakes and extra ratchet lines as our standard practice, not as an upsell.
What Tavares typically books
Lakefront weddings run our frame tents with 60-inch rounds, chiavari chairs, and a dark walnut dance floor. Backyard gatherings in Royal Harbor lean on the 20×20 high peak with banquet tables and folding chairs. Smaller celebrations grab a 10×10 ($250/day) for shade over the food table. Whatever the shape, tent setup and teardown are always included; table and chair setup is an optional paid add-on at checkout; dance floor installation is included.
Permits in plain language
Tents up to 900 square feet — our 10×10 through 20×40 — are exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code, so private-property events need no tent permit. Larger tents or any side 30 feet or longer take a Lake County permit with a fire-protection review; we handle the paperwork and build the timeline around it.
