Evening events hit different here
Groveland is Florida’s first International Dark Sky Community, and it changes how tented evenings feel: when the string lights come on under a 20×40 high peak, the sky behind them is actually black. We tent a lot of evening celebrations out here — Trilogy’s social calendar, backyard receptions in Waterside Pointe and Eagle Pointe, and family parties across one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing cities.
Know the Groveland permit rule early
Two rule sets apply, and one of them surprises people. Statewide: tents up to 900 square feet — our 10×10 through 20×40 — are exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code on private property; bigger tents take a Lake County permit and fire review we prepare. Groveland’s own rule: any organized special event (a festival, a large public gathering, anything commercial) needs the city’s Special Event Permit under Ordinance 2020-08 — filed at least thirty days ahead, twelve-hour event limit, $100 cleanup deposit (Parks & Rec, 352-429-2141 x222). Private backyard parties don’t trigger it; community-scale events at Lake David Park or Downtown Festival Park do. If your event is the organized kind, work backward from that thirty-day deadline and book the tent once the date clears.
Sizes for how Groveland gathers
Trilogy celebrations and neighborhood parties run the 20×20 for thirty to forty guests. Backyard receptions step into the 20×40; frames to 20×60 carry the big family events. A 10×10 ($249.99/day) shades a Cherry Lake Park pavilion overflow or a festival booth. Setup, staking, tensioning, and teardown are always included with every tent.
Distance, priced without games
Groveland sits about twenty-eight road miles southwest of our Eustis shop — delivery lands around $110 ($59 base + $4/mile past fifteen), never free, exact figure at checkout before you pay. One combined truck — tent, tables, chairs, linens, floor — makes the fee work hardest. Prices live on the booking page around the clock; 407-454-1320 for a same-day human answer.
